"Backpacking Slate Creek and Montebello Ridge 6"
Santa Clara County, California
This is the Last in this Series of Videos. My goal is to remove the "mystery" about backpacking, and show that anyone can do it, with just a little knowledge, and a few inexpensive pieces of equipment!

And to be honest back, Brian...it is very comforting to me to see someone as comfortable with his own company as I am with mine...lol....
I dont have too many opportunities while I am raising my son to be alone and have time/space in nature for a prolonged period....so this video series has been refreshing for me...a taste of the freedom you have! I will have it again too, when my son is a bit older and the time is right :)

I do have a lot of happiness inside - that is perhaps why I was called a 'ray of sunshine' by many long before the 'Sunbeam' name was born for me :) I am just lucky - I can see the magic in things...and really that makes all the difference.
Some of the happiest people on earth have materially very little, and some of the most wretched have materially the most. So happiness has to be to do with what is going on inside....and a happy heart finds riches everywhere :)

I definitely like the hot, dry, more open country / big skies etc.
'I got my chilli cooking and life is good'...LOL...Do you know what a gift it is to get such pleasure from simple things, Brian? I am the same and always count it as a blessing.....:)
Some of the pictures you took were just awesome. I have so enjoyed this series, Brian - it is magical. Thank you so much!

Hi Sunbeam!
You really made me sit back and think, when I read your comment about being able to enjoy simple pleasures! I believe you are right! I used to think, it just means I'm boring! heheh LOL! : )
I was also a bit surprised to hear you liked the big skies and wide-open places best. I know some people who told me it looks too lonely. You must have a lot of happiness inside of you, to feel happy, even in such lonely places! : )

To be honest, I Iove those open, lonely places the best too! and also being near the Ocean. Those are my two favorites!
Gee, I feel a debt of gratitude for your wonderful comments and participation in my Video Series! Your comments were a pleasure to read! Especially the honesty, where you say you "don't like something" too! That's when I know I can trust it when you say you "do like something". --The best comments I've ever had on my Videos before! Thank-you Very Much! ; ) -Brian.
