Otis Clay delivers this tune with so much intensity,you can actually feel the pain and anguish!! That's how you can a soul singer is a true titan.
Also worth noting is the late Karl Tarleton's lyric writing skills. He was Chicago Soul's king of pain. (Listen to "To Be A Lover" by Gene Chandler and "Why Am I Crying" by Shirley Wahls for further proof>)
