I don't mean that they are safe, I mean they feel safe, which is an important distinction to make. Dogs are descendants of pack animals living in a den, it's an instintive safeness for them. I've never in my 30+ years met a single dog that didn't like having their own place to be. You can have a dog without having a cage, don't get me wrong. I just consider it a boon for the dogs psyche to have it's own spot that it can retreat to when it wants to be left alone.
It's basically their own little place, if you think of it like that instead. Like a den, somewhere that they can be undisturbed in and feel safe. Crate-training is pretty much the best thing you can do for your dog.
That is funny hahaha! Shes Cutee
