The lyrics along with the video remind me of G. Orwell's "1984", in which they tell you not to worry, it's a beautiful place, but beneath the surface... Don't worry... all is fine. Big Brother is watching all the time.

@scottie644 you got it backwards. the dystopic Kafka-esque future run by machinery was pressaged in works far earlier than even Fritz Lang's Metropolis, but came to the fore in popular cinema after the era of 'bright future' pulp sci-fi, continuing to this day in modern scifi flicks (so many of which are from Philip K Dick's books). THX1138 is a milestone certainly, but not the original. Portal is a latecommer
