The New Years Resolutions One-Shot Part One/Three

Miley and Selena had been my best friends since high school.We grew up together. We went through mostly everything together. We graduated from NYU a few months ago, and had just started with our first real jobs. Miley was a fashion designer,Selena was a magazine editor,and I,I was a photographer. We all majored in these areas.It had been our dream since our senior year of high school. W e grew up in New Jersey and moved to New York 5 years ago.We are all 25 years old and we are all single. Miley is too busy for a relationship,she has to worry about pleasing her boss with new designs and what not. I don't blame the girl,she's working hard to get to where she wants to be.Selena has been writing a novel.Since I met her,she has always had her head in a book.She just has a small article in The New York Times,but she wants to get noticed and would like to publish a book.She is also single,recently single.She broke up with her boyfriend a few weeks ago.She took it better than we thoughr she would.Our parents always said we were three best friends,with a stong bond,whom can help each other with anything.We were all pretty independant if i say myself.We don't take any non sense from people,we do what we have to do in order to succeed in life.We take it day by day.Then there is me,Demi Lovato,I've been single for nearly a year.Its not that i don't want to be in a relationship,I do but right now i just choose not to invlove myself in one,but who knows? I might just get change my mind over this next week.Today we were heading off to the East Hamptons for new years. Were going for a week max,just to relax and enjoy our break before we start working again.

"Were finally here!" Selena squealed "Calm down Sel" I said whilst sitting on my bed "Dem,I cant calm down! I've been working my butt off trying to finish my novel.Now i need a vacation.Heck,we all need a vaction" Miley high fived her "Okay,thats true" They both laughed "So,what've we got planned for tonight?" Miley asked eagerly "Um,well theres this little party downstairs in the ball room,the concierge told me.Its at 8 untill well whenever,since its New Years Eve" "Sounds good" "We have about three hours till 8,so why don't we all just un pack,and then take a shower and we head downstairs?" "Its a plan" Miley said
We had all just finished unpacking and showering.We were just adding some final touches to ourselves before we go downstairs. "You guys ready?" I asked them both "Mhm" they both replied We walked into the lodges ball room and it was packed.There was people everywhere! "You guys want something to drink?" Miley shouted over the loud music "Yes,please" Selena and I said "Okay,i'll be right back" "Hey,were gonna go outside,so meet us there" I told her "Yeah sure"

"So Sel,how you holding up?" I asked her as we sat down on a pair of couches "Demi,i told you im fine.You don't need to ask me how im doing" "I know youre a stong women Sel but im one of your closest friends,i have to ask" She smiled "Here you guys go" Miley handed us mugs filled with hot chocolate and mini marshmallows "Oooh,hot chocolate yummy" I said after smelling the warm melted chocholate in my hands "Demi,youre weird" Selena looked at me oddly,I just laughed
