@willow6969696969 i notice that when my female ferrets are scared they smell really bad! In england we keep them caged outside and as they are not as common we don't take them for walks either! :-(

@Snigletz they have a scent gland that can be removed and most Ferrets are fixed when sold as pets so that helps with males that may have a musk smell. They like water so give baths early on and they will easy to keep clean.

@LuthienDragon Our littlest one Molly, the female poley, has just been diagnosed with cancer. She is approximately seven years old. 'Tis very sad. But yes she has made me laugh and smile many many a time in the last seven six years we've known her. Dylan, the bigger poley died a few years ago from kidney problems. He was a rescue ferret and treated very poorly when a kit, so can't help wondering if that shortened his life. I understand your reluctance to have more!
