Egypt's Tahrir square is once again the scene of brutal clashes, with police using tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse tens of thousands of protesters. The show of anger at a lack of reform comes before crucial elections, and could carry the potential to paralyse the country once again. RT's Paula Slier who's on her way to Cairo, has the latest from neighboring Israel.

  • @yungbulll This is because we never had democracy idiot, don't mistake democracy with totalitarism and dictatorship. When we have a system in which you have to vote for people who are pre-selected to govern you and your nation I don't call this freedom nor democracy. Democracy is freedom. Being rule and living under a monarchy is not democracy. We have a monarchy system, a class system, the rich and powerful people at the top and the slaves workers at the bottom.

  • The idiot lying of a reporter forgot that MBH is the ONLY POLITICAL GROUP THAT IS NT IN TAHRIR. they are being trashed by the public for this STOP LYING no political power has control over Tahrir and all other squares across Egypt only the ppl have this control. SHAME

  • missryen oulad lahram, dakchi lli darou daba f nas msaken ,gaa madarouch mobarak,

  • Journalism at its worst. Either you didn't bother to put in the effort to know what's going on and why this happened or you just want to bash the Muslim Brotherhood and scare off the entire world

  • @amentaloasis We can have different opinions and views and come together. That's what happened each revolution. I don't think people from Egypt, Greece, Spain... or from the occupy movement have the same idea's opinions and views. But, they are all united and fight for the same reason. Freedom.

  • @draksenzakura That might work if, you know, people didn't have differing opinions and views. Which is why i said democracy is just tyranny of the majority. Also they don't need to divide the populace against each other we just do that naturally anyway. You're idealistic view of people coming together all united in views and beliefs is naive and very unrealistic.

This would also be very good for

western countries where many person enrich themselves too

In France here we have an affaire "karachi" where

%% from a submarins sales were used to boost publicity

    during elections

It might help solve many problems in USA & Russia too

  • 1) Hi - - I'm happy to find a channel for placing a positive posibility for uprising/ changing countries and I hope this will be read by the military in Egypt The ONLY form of government which works AGAINST CORRUPTION and so is the TRIUMVIRAT- 2 or 3 years - not longer I advise it already to Tunisand it's also the ONLY decent solution for Lybia No person with hidden agenda will participate when he ( one of 3 presidents) can be sacked already after 2 years >>2
  • Looks like Gamal Mubarak gets a 78% vote in the upcoming elections.

  • Tunisia revolution: YES! Egyptian revolution: NO: Casualties: the Copts!
