The Rishikesh series is divided into 6 cycles:

Headstand Cycle, Shoulderstand Cycle, Forward bend Cycle, Backward bend cycle, Sitting Cycle, and Balancing cycle.

It is important not to alter the order of the cycles while practicing due to energetic reasons.

Here are a few variations you can add to your practice once you have mastered the 12 basic asanas of the Sivananda series.

Mastering means that you can hold the postures for a long period of time with ease and comfort, observing your breath while maintaining one pointedness of mind.
