Bulk of the weight of the load was in the center of the trailer plus the idiot had the trailer axles stretched all the way to the end of the trailer thus not giving any support to the center...recipe for disaster.
yeah obviously they can fold up, but when you have an extremely heavy load its best to put the wieght 60% on trailer axles and 40 % on the truck, generally. we have Bobcat equipment hauled in on trailers like this one and the drivers usually put the machine right on the nose of the trailer centering the weight on the fifth wheel and truck.
oh wow i just learned something today. i thought over loading was bad because it can cause u to tip over easier. i seriously never knew you could split the trailer in half like that but it makes sense now.
