That was another good one. I like the earlier episodes a lot more than the newer ones. Lamont was better acting and Fred was also. They got a little off track in the newer ones I think. This show is still the best though!

I had a really pretty dark skinned sister with dimples, pretty eyes, long hair. Men loved her. She was at Robert's Show Lounge back in the day and Redd Foxx was performing. He looked at her and said "It show ain't no white folks in your family" That's what Comedians do, sometimes crack on the audience.LOL My sister laughed, the audience laughed and Redd said 'she fine though'. He played Chicago a lot in those days but I was too young to get in to see him! Loved that man!

@HypeGGbelgian Yes. His brother was Fred Sanford. He had problems with drugs, and died in his 40's around 1966.

His real name was Jon Sanford. Spelled without an "h". He had an older brother Fred who died in the 1960's. He used his name for the show. One of his friends in NYC in the 1930's was Lamont. Redd was very loyal to his friends when he became a success on TV. Also, he and LaWanda Page (Aunt Esther) were friends in elementary school in St. Louis. One very cool cat. RIP Redd.
