From the works of Enlightened Master Paramahamsa Nithyananda. All scriptures can be classified in three ways. Shastras are written for the intellectual types. They give clarity on how to live your life. Stotras are for those emotionally moved, the literature from heart, teaching surrender to the Divine. Sutras are developed for the Being-oriented ones. Sutras give the technique to reach the Being, giving a direct experience of spirituality. Sutras give a Being-level experience. The wonder of the Bhagavad Gita is that it addresses all of these people's needs, giving the understanding that can satisfy each of these different ways of relating to God so that all can fall in tune with Divine. Complete discourse titled Shastras, Stotras and Sutras may be ordered at www.anandagalleria.com

  • well, if you have read Bhagwat Geeta, You would never say "You are a Hindu and probably have not read many books from other religious traditions " The Song of God doesn't stop us reading books from other religions. Try to understand the true meaning of the war of Kurukshetra before making this silly comment here..I am sorry if your religion doesn't allow you to read books from other religion.

  • Hi ruzi, the war of kurukeshtra is the war that is going on inside you. Krishna pushes Arjuna to fight the inner war.

  • osho is nothing compared with this guy...have you heard of all the negative PR related with osho...

  • then what about all the dead men? Are they inside your head?

That is is an inner war was Gandhi's idea.

He did not like that that his dear Gita should talk about a real war,

    What a mental twisting

  • Ghandustani pride!

  • "If you put faith as the first criteria to enter into the spiritual life, you are almost refusing to give spirituality for 90% of the human beings. It is not very easy to believe anything immediately. You cannot believe and especially in the modern days the words believe, faith all these words are outdated. These words can have no meaning. You can't say only a person who believes, who's got faith, he can come to spirituality. Spirituality should be given for every being." Thank You Swamiji.

  • How can you say there is no other book comparable to the Gita?

You are a Hindu and probably have not read many books from other religious traditions otherwise you would not speak in such a narrow minded way.

But in one way you are right: No other religious book is so silly.

Instead of avoiding the war, Krishna is pushing Arjuna into this war.

And who were killed? Not enemies from outside, no, friends and family members.

Do you call that a spiritual book?

  • wow! Gr8 man. Saw him personally one time. He has perfect skin; perfect walk. He seems to personify OSHO. He has very good memory...he quoted each and every word, vebatim, that OSHO mentioned in one of his books. Intelligent..he chose whom to follow. Even sometimes speaks like OSHO...the deliberate hissing sound that he used to make after each delivery of word/sentence. Now after a long practice it has become a habit with this man too.Long way to go..he is so young.

  • shiva sutra is better...swamiji said so

  • Yajurveda 40:8 -- "He is bodyless and pure"

    Svetasavatara Upanishad 6:9

"Na tasya pratima asti" -- There is no pratima of him
