Deere 4850 plants soybeans at Greg Palaschak's Lowery farm near Kinsman Illinois. Greg Tadej is driving. He counts the rows to make sure he is on the right row. Yes, the drill is equipped with row markers. Video by Doug Palaschak. These stalks have not been tilled since harvest. The corn rows are spaced 30 inches apart. Greg is planting 4 bean rows in that same 30 inch spacing. That equates to 7.5 inch spacing. Greg wants to avoid planting directly on the existing row of standing stalks.
