True Hernando Desoto did. The reason property rights don't work in poor countries is because gangsers have a vested interest in resticting such rights. This is a way to make the bastards eat themselves. It takes a bit of intelectual courage however. It's hard to understand if one grows up in the world in which we live. I used to feel like you many years ago. Keep searching and good luck.
Good idea, your just not the first one to think of it. Thousands have already considered this but the fact is property rights hold no merit in unstable countries. There are many other reasons why this idea would not work as well. I really just don't fee like listing them all.
I see what you're getting at, and it makes a lot more sense to me now. Thanks for the explanation. It would need a huge amount of oversight from an impartial third party though.
The issue is that poverty and resource exploitation are closely linked. Property rights enable capital to be released, and provided it is invested to create sustainable and environmentally friendly wealth then positive development is the result. Think of a village in rural xyz, where if families can establish property rights, they have the basis to purchase and then resell solar lighting and power, which reduces resource depletion (firewood), improves health, education, and reduces birth rates.
The point of property rights being key to releasing and unleashing significant wealth is an excellent one - and is often missed. Releasing it is a massive and complex issue to change, however this issue definitely needs serious consideration and a great many more people working on. It is a nut that can be cracked.
Intriguing idea. Although I'm failing to see a direct correlation between property rights and economic stimulus. Since that is the central point of your video it would be nice to see some metrics that support your suggestion. If you are strictly speaking about natural resource exploitation, it doesn't sound very sustainable.
