Robert Mitchum and Deborah Kerr star in this terrific WW 2 drama about a US Marine and an Irish nun who are both marooned on a Pacific island. When the Japanese invade, they are forced to go into hiding and struggle to survive. Exceptional and memorable performances.

he was a good actor he's lucky , he almost lost his head for what he did with Marlyn monroe, he couldn't leave the house for 6 months out of fear from what I hear

This is one of my all time favorite movies, and my all time favorite Robert Mitchum movie. He and Deborah Kerr were great lifetime friends. I can't think of a better movie than this!

Agreed. It seems like Mitchum was always voted "most likely to succeed," but he never seemed to be "at the head of the class."
