he was not going as fast as the car can go

Not the best track to push F1 to the limits.

I have GT4 and have raced here and won here. at first, I was intimidated by its length, but I've raced here with GT cars, then prototypes, and finally, the F1 car. And gmma99,you are right about that. its the high speed bumpy parts that are the most tricky, especially towards the end..

No balls, they know where, when and if they can drive to the limits there ; )

Oh,and that driving was great, even tho it was an exibition, there was some moments there that took some balls to go that quick!
P.S Rest in peace Stefan Bellof(still holds the outright ring lap record)

Ok ,so of course its not going to happen but can you guys imagine how awesome a modern grand prix race would be there!
Apart from the crashes that would bound to happen, and the 11 min pace car laps :(

ojala volviera el autentico ring... No seria mas peligroso que cualquier circuito de hoy dia.
Hello michael, any chance for the full onboard video?
I timed the section from the roadsign 'wipperman' to the dip from 'pflantzgarten', this is 1.8 km, and Nick does it in 33 seconds!
this is an average of 196 km/h (just this section).
The Porche 956 from Derek Bell in 1983 did it in 37 sec. and the Radical SR8 record was 38 seconds in 2006 (these video's are also both on youtube).
So it is save to say this would be the fastest lap ever, if he hadn't slowed down on the straights!
