Metro Trains: Royal Melbourne Show Trains 2011.

In this video we see Comeng and Siemen's EMU's running the Showgrounds service for the Royal Melbourne Show.

These trains are running to Showgrounds station on the Flemington Racecourse Line which is a line that is only used for special events at Melbourne Showgrounds and Flemington Racecourse. These trains were stopping at Flinders Street, Southern Cross, North Melbourne and then express to Showgrounds station.

These trains were filmed at Kensington and Newmarket Stations, the only stations inbetween North Melbourne and Showgrounds with the turnoff for the Flemington Racecourse line being at the down end at Newmarket Station.

I just realized. All the alstom sets in this video sound exactly the same as the EDI sets. They sound like the growling comengs. So were there a lot of growler comengs instead of groaning comengs?

@ThebusofdoomFSX A growler comeng is a comeng with the yellow EDI front with some of them also being with the grey Alstom front.

The groaning comeng is the comeng that has the grey Alstom front.

The list for growling comengs are numbered from 301M-329M,330M,331M-347M,350M,­351M-527M,528M and 530M-553M.

The list for the groaning comengs are numbered from 561M-691M, 692M, 693M-698M.

The only way to tell the difference between these two comengs is by their sound.

I don't often see Siemens Trains Running on the Showgrounds line. I just Mostly see Comengs.
