W.E. hits theaters on December 9th, 2011.

Cast: Abbie Cornish, James D'Arcy, Andrea Riseborough, Richard Coyle, Annabelle Wallis, Oscar Isaac, Natalie Dormer, Laurence Fox, James Fox, David Harbour, Natalie Gal, Lola Leon

"W.E." tells the story of two fragile but determined women - Wally Winthrop and Wallis Simpson - separated by more than six decades.

In 1998, lonely New Yorker Wally Winthrop (Abbie Cornish) is obsessed with what she perceives as the ultimate love story: King Edward's VIII's abdication of the British throne for the woman he loved, American divorcee Wallis Simpson. But Wally's research, including several visits to the Sotheby's auction of the Windsor Estate, reveals that the couple's life together was not as perfect as she thought.

Weaving back and forth in time, W.E. intertwines Wally's journey of discovery in New York with the story of Wallis (Andrea Riseborough) and Edward (James D'Arcy), from the glamorous early days of their romance to the slow unraveling of their lives in the decades that

  • good grief, melodrama much?

  • @Olibabas Well Mainly the King Himself

  • @GCmediacourse

Wallis were pretty, at least her photo in wiki are.

But, beauty IS in the eye of the beholder. :)

  • @Fatpie42 to hide from camera due to horrible acting job

  • @deadSIRENS If you google Weinstein Company Guilds, click on the first link and click on the "W.E." part, you can listen to the whole score for free. And other than this one track, I don't think the rest of the score sounds too much like "A Single Man".

  • So I hear that the composer for "A Single Man" is also composing for this film. I love A Single Man's score, but I don't like how the background music here is practically identical to "Carlos". I hope that W.E's score isn't too similar to A Single Man. Otherwise I'll be really disappointed. :/

  • @GCmediacourse I love James D'Arcy. ~_~

  • hehehe sorry.agreed=)

  • @amers83 Thats what I mean. the Real Edward and wallis were ugly but these actors look better than them in real life

  • @GCmediacourse the royal family is attractive?since when?they range from ugly to average looking save for diana who helped out the gene pool.speaking of attractiveness I wish Mr.D'arcy would dye his hair back from that horrible blonde and chase me around a tree.madonna chose well.he would have no problem fooling people into thinking he was royalty.he's got that air about him.
