It's called a "theater car". Behind the large window are 10-15 rearward facing seats, tiered , theater style, to give anyone seated there an unobstructed view of view the railroad property.

Great shots of the special there Paul - I heard that she was put on Heat Restriction yesterday while heading through the Salinas Valley due to the possibility of the rails heating up too fast from the triple digit temps they had out there yesterday which is why it took her so long to make it up here through the Slough - But Man It Sure As Hell Was Well Worth The Wait Coast Sub Style! - Awesome Awesome Awesome Video!!!!5*
