"Apostle Peter And The Last Supper" will be available on DVD & Blu-Ray on February 21st, 2012.

Set in Rome A.D. 67, two jailers at the ancient Mamertine Prison take custody of a famous criminal. He is Simon Peter of Galilee -- apostle, disciple and personal friend of Jesus, also called the Christ. Condemned to death, the elderly Peter (Robert Loggia) recounts his life as a simple fisherman who became one of the boldest figures in all of Christianity. As Peter prepares to depart this earthly life, he will make an unforgettable impression on his jailers through the saving power of the Gospel.

  • The trailer is amazing. I love Robert Loggia and Bruce Marchiano (he is a really good cast for Jesus) I am hoping that everyone that was in this movie was touched by the Spirit of the Lord. That it ministers not only to the saved but to the lost. God bless!

  • Is this sold in stores like wal mart?

  • The Jesus in the movie,I think is played by the same gentlemen who played Jesus in "The Encounter"

  • I want to see this movie! There is something so special about Bruce in this role

  • @OurSafeHome ...Thank you for the online tip my friend...I enjoyed our time together !

  • @lamcar that He changed/conflicted/struck down some of the instructions in Torah is a common and WRONG understanding of the life of Yeshua.

It is what The Church teaches, but a careful reading of the text shows otherwise, Brother!

"Praise His Name" , indeed! Here is how we say it in Hebrew: "Baruch Ha Shem"! bible study tools DOT com has a free, online version of the CJB.

It also has "parallel translation view" feature, too. Very useful.

  • With a play on words I believe we are talking the same. Yeshua preached the Torah, yes, but with added changes. He preached that He was the sacrificial lamb, the last sacrifice, and that He is our Mediator, our High Priest to God, which does conflict with a few Torah laws. Praise His Name for that connection ! God Bless and I wish you well. You have by the way spawned sincere interest for me regarding the CJB. I will be checking this translation out with deeper appreciation for Jewish history.

  • @lamcar "Saved", no, "Born-Again-of-the-Spirit", yes. ;-) Jews and Gentiles are enjoined by the scriptures to worship God as He has specified in His "Useful Instructions For Living" (a better translation for the word Torah).

Yeshua preached nothing but Torah observance, as did James, John, Peter and Paul. (Yes, Paul!)

The KJV is a very poor translation with a definite anti-Semetic bias. It is serviceable, if you know how to spot the intentional copy-edits. I prefer the CJB. ;-)

  • I understand you are an advocate of Messianic worship and that is OK. Don't forget however, that Yeshua opened the Gospel & Salvation to extend to all, not just the Jews. Your suggestion to Torah like worship, defies what and why Christ came. Since I am not Jewish and do not understand the Hebrew language, I resort to the King James Bible. The main thing is that one must believe on/in Jesus Christ, why he came, and accept Him as the Saviour He is. I love you as brother/sister...are you Saved ?

  • @lamcar No, you guys don't get it: No one named "Jesus" ever existed in first century Israel, and it wasn't "The Last Supper", it was the last Pesach (Passover) Seder that He celebrated (until He comes back, that is!)

"Peter" (actually Kefa), James, John, and The Rest were NOT christians, they were Messianic Jews.

We must throw off the deception that Rome has been preaching for 1,700 years and return to a first century, Torah observant faith, like the followers of The Way practiced.

  • @OurSafeHome You just don't get it do you ?
