how hard is this Etude?
-
I wasn't abusing anyone's work over the computer. I know what it's like when you record something over video, and that the etude is not easy. That doesn' change the fact that this playing is at an amateur level, as you said. And that's fine, it's nice there are people who enjoy playing the piano. Good luck

It's such a gorgeous piece, very dramatic and expressive. I think you did a great job. :)
-
and speaking of techniques solutions, it won't do any bad looking up on cortot's work suggestions for chopin's etudes. They're rather hard, but they surely will do good.

well. Thats big words for someone who has no videos. Also how do you know its not the camera and thirdly the ocean etude is not easy, so she or he is definately an ameture. The calibre required to play this piece is somewhat phenomenal and you think you can abuse her/his work over the computer.. tutt tutt
By the way I thought your work was masterly.
well done on a wonderful performance
By the way I thought your piece

hmmm.... interesting. never thought of that.

Thats exactly my problem. If you hear ming it sucks so much cause I keep pausing. but I'm glad to hear that someone plays it like me.
-
So I'll translate for uhrkraft. He means to basically pause at the thumb pinky switch. That's how I practiced this.

In 4 note groups you stop on every 1 of the group.... (1) 234 (1)23... , then you stop on every 2..... 1 (2) 34 1 (2), then stop on every 3..... 12(3)4 12(3)4 12, then every 4.... 123(4) 123(4). The key is to work hard during the running notes and completly relax when you stop. Take your time to relax when you stop, but be metrical durring the runs.
The key is the same as for every difficult piano piece: Study a lot to find a way to play it relaxed. that's one very important thing that took about 5 months for me to do. After that, it is as difficult to play the first page as it is to play the entire piece... if you mastered the first page arppegios, the rest is a matter of stamina.
