Well she went to a birthday party for the woman's kids and she made all her guests take their shoes off and that's why her shoes got stolen. Carrie makes a good point in the end that we spend so much money in gifts for people who get married and have kids because it's socially accceptable...but no one celebrates being successful, happy, and single. Our society believes that a childless, single woman is an unsuccessful woman.

exactly. She doesn't mind carrie spending money on buying HER expensive gifts because HER lifestyle is a REAL LIFE. But if Carrie buys herself a pair of shoes, it's extravagant and somehow selfish.

If I ever start a family I vow not to post any Baby Bump photos, baby shots or anything.

If you're my friend you'll come see my baby. And if you're to far away I'll post you some photos in the mail, snail mail that is.

I don't understand this desire to show everyone your baby bump.

You're pregnant, of course you're going to get big. You're not the first pregnant women I have seen, and you won't be the last.

Carrie annoys me most of the time, but I am on her side here. It is her life and her money. Why the hell should she feel ashamed for that?

    I want a husband and kids one day...but god...I hope I don't turn into such a judgemental bitch -.-

Another point: With the third baby, Kyra and her husband should have most everything they need already. I don't see the need for them to hold an elaborate shower for themselves. Perhaps hosting a "no gifts" dinner where they show off their new baby. But it doesn't seem appropriate that they register and expect expensive gifts like a "Little Me" chair with their third child.
