Manufactured in 1965, it still works like no washer would work today.

I can only shudder to think what kind of junk China is forcing on us in the market place today. The Higher the tech the less efficient....

@TheMightyPump, I couldn't of said it better myself, I think this was the best washer design ever. My mom had a 1968 model and she retired it 2 years ago. The only repair in that time was a timer, and my sister turned it backwards and stripped a gear. It wasn't the washer's fault. A perfect appliance that lasted over 40 years. Built proudly in The USA!
