Chopin's Nocturne No.2 Op.9-2 in E-flat major.

Very popular one.

It's been charming piano-addicted people for more than 100 years.

To express what the Composer intended, It requires you highly delicate sensibility.
The hardest thing for me, this is the best that I could.

Just let me know what you think about my attempt, I will appreciate all your comments.

  • great job i loved it,ive just started learning it now and im already stuck,on the sheet music the 1st C you come to near the start jumps straight to a higher C but the piece you hear has a little arrangment of note in between the 2 C's,can anyone help?

  • @pianorags

I'm not sure if I get your point, but I guess you have some trouble in reading the ornament.

Do you see a symbol mark like a lying figure S on the sheet music?

It is called "turn ornament". It's is usually played like i did.

  • you play this so beautifully. Im learning it even though ive no idea how to read music, it certainly isnt an easy peice. How long did it take you to learn this?

  • Hi, thank you for visiting and leaving your message.

it took 20-30 hours to learn.

learning was quite a fun to me.

  • It was great... but the left hand is legato, that is very important because that make the sound better XD

  • Yes, I agree with you.

That is the point I focus in my practice time.

That is the key to make it sound nice.

  • certainly, your technical abilities are very good, playing chopin that easily, but please buy yourself a real piano...electronic devices always sound so cold and...harsh.

good work, though. bit of training with the legato and - good advice for such pieces - play with your heart

  • Y'know, the comments about slowing down aren't really useful. You all know The Entertainer, right? The piece was MENT to go slow, but everyone plays it so damn fast.

A piece has its written tempo, and there's MANY different ways of interpreting music. That's what makes music something you can FEEL... Not what everyone thinks it should sound like.

The piano, thing, I agree.... Find the kid a piano under $300 that fits the same area as an electric piano, THEN tell him to get it.
