http://go.tagjag.com/freeagenttheater - You have content scattered all over your network, I'm sure. The problem is when you want to watch your media on your HDTV. That's where the FreeAgent Theater + from Seagate comes in handy! It allows you to not only access files from across your network, it also accepts input devices, such as memory cards. It has a variety of inputs, including full 1080p video and Dolby audio! It's also compatible with the FreeAgent Go portable hard drive. I have to thank Seagate for sending me these products to review. It's been fun to navigate my way through all of my content. http://chris.pirillo.com - http://geeks.pirillo.com

  • this review sucks, there was almost nothing on online ability

  • This is not a really great gadget, got one today but could not play anything (audio or video for more than 3 min). I had FreeAgent Go external HDD using it with FAT+ (Free Agent Theater +) caused reboot of device after 3 to 5 mins continuously and always !! Strange how can Seagate let out these kind of device !!!

Also checked for this issue in seagate, suprised it was part of seagate forum many had this issue but no clear solution found in one place. Gave back my device to retail seller..

  • Can i use my 2tb seagate hardrive on it?

  • @MaiProd y la mia de hace 20 años puede hacer mas que tu cerebro, no se trata de eso estos aparatos.....

  • Wish people who review these media players would show how the UI handles audio files. It's easy to go through a list of movies, but how do you navigate through thousands of audio files.

  • @texasraised214 MKV is a damn good video container, though everything boils down to a form of MPEG and really the main using point of MKV is... well, it's bendability and load of features. It is currently the most popular container for anime subbing groups because it has easy-to-use chapter creation, subtitles insertion (aka soft-sub) and x/h.264 support. just google 'mkv' and you should get a 'matroska.org' site.

  • 3:19 please explain Why is MKV a NICE option to have on this....

  • I'd rather get a Popcorn Hour C-200 or A-200, but of course even the A-200 costs more then this.

  • @nickmoranzo

Absolutely, with the small exception of lack of MKV support with out 3rd party software running on your PC and a plethora of other limitations!!!!!

    Think first dumbass
