yeah that's the order that they did all of their opens in back in the Eyewitness News days. the 1992 open is in the same order as well.

@ChicagoAnchorman Many stations mentioned their sports anchor before the weather guy...years ago, stations would do the sports segments before weather.

I wish they still used this format for their news opens...Chicago looks so pretty and has so many sights that would work so well today...especially because the opens would be in HD.

Alan's bio on the ABC 7 website says he anchored the 5pm news from 1994-98. In March 98, he switched to the 6pm news with Kathy Brock after Floyd Kalber retired (they had anchored the morning news together). Ron Magers came aboard at 5pm to anchor with Diann Burns. John Drury always was the 10pm anchor only. First with Mary Ann Childers, then with Diann Burns. In 2002, Ron replaced John at 10pm, then a year later Kathy and Cheryl joined the 10pm news when Diann Burns was removed from the air.
