Veni, veni Emmanuel;
Captivum solve Israel,
Qui gemit in exilio,
Privatus Dei Filio.

Refrain
Gaude! Gaude! Emmanuel,
Nascetur pro te, Israel!

Veni, veni, O Oriens;
Solare nos adveniens,
Noctis depelle nebulas,
Dirasque noctis tenebras.
Refrain

Veni, Clavis Davidica!
Regna reclude caelica;
Fac iter tutum superum,
Et claude vias inferum.
Refrain

Veni, veni Adonai!
Qui populo in Sinai,
Legem dedisti vertice,
In maiestate gloriae.
Refrain

  • Veni, veni Adonai! That is one of the most beautiful passages in this hymn & it one that most popular treatments omit. I wish someone would do the full treatment, every line.

  • @VictorLepanto I agree, God bless!

  • awesome, is it only one person singin?

    Seems like you just turned on the camera and started singing.

    If thats the case, CONGRATULATIONS, it sounds awesome.

  • @Luishazong Hi! Thanks for the comment! It is just myself singing off to the side out of camera view. Most of the ones I sing I try to be visible, but not too prominent so that I give emphasis to the song and not myself, but I am not in every video. I am very glad that you like it! God Bless, Br. Alphonsus.

  • @BrotherAlphonsusMary Thank you, You sing really good, I was amazed at how good it sounded even tho it was only one person singing. I like your idea of emphasizing the song.

  • @Luishazong Awesome!! Yeah, the accoustics in the church are just right for singing, and it can sound like more than one person sometimes...When I sing there, the church is always empty...except Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament of course, and the accoustics sound even better than when there are people there.
