  • Because as the word of Jesus comes forth out of the mouths of people so does the voice of the enemy speak.

    Ecclesiastes 2:13

Then I saw that wisdom excelleth folly, as far as light excelleth darkness.

The more Truth that is spoken, the more lies are spoke in opposition....Until the Lord says it is over, because when it is over, there is no more Darkness to answer back.

  • Actually, the puritans were deeply religious. The Mayflower Compact weighed heavily on how we worded the Constitution and Declaration of Independence.

  • I could care less about the motto printed on currency, because I know where my faith lies:

    In the constitution.

  • I do not trust god, nor do I want to.

    Reason:

    Hurricanes

  • Additionally, I would like to address the issue of the sanctity of marriage. In a secular country, can you really defend the sanctity of marriage, sanctity being something holy, or in other words, a religious entity? What would you do if an atheist was elected president? would you rail against him because of what he does not believe in, fully knowing that there is a clause in the constitution that says there will NEVER be a religious test for office?

  • As an atheist, the motto In god we trust is a slap in the face. It disgusts me that, despite the obvious separation between religions and state, such a motto could exist. Imagine if it said instead, In allah we trust. Is having a religious motto, or a religious creed any different that what Iran does? Can you guarantee that every citizen believes in a deity named God, or in a God at all, especially in a nation that specifically denies any ties to any religion?

  • pillar speaks the words of truth... Word.

  • @Oakshand Wtf? What does that matter? Many of the founding fathers were deists but they still advocated secularism. The Mayflower Compact was a document that pledged allegience between all of the pilgrims so they wouldn't end up creating a hundred different provinces and the like. It didn't have to do with their religious values really, and it's only common sense that it influened future documents, such as the Magna Carta's influence on our Declaration of Independance..

  • like he said, u can pack a bag and leave

  • Cross out "In God We Trust" (with ink) on every bill that passes through your hands. Let's show them that we're here, and that we don't believe that BS. Not illegal! Although federal law (18 U.S.C. § 333 and 18 U.S.C. § 475) prohibits defacement of currency, it specifies either "intent to render such bank bill...unfit to be reissued" or a "notice or advertisement", and no documented cases exist of prosecution for such action.

  • There is a over whelming amount of reasons why our (Secular Government) should remove this unconstitutional quote from our money, (IN a GOD WE do not TRUST). Americans who live inside a Modern Secular Government will ignore your Aramaic God's request to have people put to death for working on the sabbath.

  • i hate it when americans go; where the greatest >.>

when i think off america all i can think off is the wars and the meddeling in other country's because you think your all so great -.-"
