This last summer, my girlfriend and I would write short stories to each other at the end of every e-mail. I wrote this one using a real life computer technician I knew at USC, Dennis Castello, as inspiration. Rest assured, in real life, Dennis is an EXTREMELY nice guy; however, he has his moments where he sets the record straight for the people working in the editing labs what not to do. :) I imagine this scene as the first of what could be a feature length movie about a guy who just hates everybody and wants out of his shit hole job. Taking place somewhere in the middle of Africa or India in some biomedical engineering facility(in the future), Dom is the typical fed up maintenance guy. Except he also happens to have a skill-set which includes being a bad-ass mother fucker. Anyway, after this scene, the upper ups would present Dom with an opportunity to get out of this dump and he takes it. The trouble is he gets duped, sees that he's a cog in a very dangerous machine, and ends up having to work with some lovely gal to stop the oncoming monstrosities. And what do you know, he learns that he likes the girl(because she's jaw droppingly beautiful of course - or maybe I should change that. Maybe it's a dude and maybe they're ugly. Who knows what would be more interesting). And he learns to like people and the end. Clap clap clap. A short film written, directed, filmed, and drawn by myself. Credits to my dear friend Dennis Castello who did the voice of Dom and to Lai Xu for the woman's voice. Footage taking place behind the story board/animatic is of random spots on the UCSD campus.

  • Very nice. I liked the fan shot in the previous version though.

  • Ooh looks much smoother than the first one. Plus the voices are clearer. I still like this video. *-*
