Sundial Cannon lives in Burlington, Vermont. It was a reproduction made by the Franklin Mint, and bought on Ebay for about $110. I think I may have had to drill an access hole into the bore from where the lens ignites the powder. I fill the bore about 1/4" with pyrodex, and sprinkle a little into the igniting recess across the top. There is no projectile, of course.

  • I hope it's not actually firing anything! I've seen these in books on sundials before, but it's really fun to see one actually in use. Where is this little jewel located?
