Lol sorry about that, he actually did it the right way. Got confused because he didn't show how to add artic silver 5 and so I thought he was overheating it similarly like the towel method. However, there are better vids on youtube that show you step by step on how to open xbox, remove everything inside motherboard, add artic silver 5, and putting xbox back together.

hmmm lets see... after fixing 10 xbox360's and sold them all i have yet seen anyone called me about 3 rings of death..... it is not my fault you bought one from a scam artist or cant seem to fix you own and want to play pin the tail on the donkey with me.

Chango thx for trying to help but this is not the correct way to fix an xbox that has 3 rings of death. DO NOT USE THIS METHOD! It would be like using the "towel method" to overheat your xbox 360 and that can do some damage to the xbox. Plus it is not a permanent fix and will only last 1 week max from what i've read.

sorry to contradict you hommie but i have fixed and sold several of these in my home town and i havent got one person called me back about 3 rings of death. im not an expert at this but it happens that i have become really good at it.
the heating process is to sort of reseal the artic silver on the chip thats all.. and the console is open when its heated, unlike the towel trick which the console is covered in towels and the motherboard gets no ventilation whatsoever.
