  • @gobuddyboy So if a male rabbi or a minister shakes a woman's hand he's dishonoring her?

  • She is lost, religious muslim men dont shake hands with women is because of they want to honor women, and respect. It has not a thing to do with men's honor. She is an idiot.

  • She's so on point regarding the idea of "honor" of white people. It's nice to see someone who is neither white nor black speak about this. Every culture has issues of doing people harm because of "honor" - it's not just America and the Muslim world.

  • Irshad's way of expressing herself is Irshad's way. I'm not sure how open she is to being corrected...but coming from a background of 'gay' activism, well!...considering their stridency, they'll be damned if they're gonna back down from anything!

It might help to perceive Irshad from this perspective...yet her HUMANITY is always apparent despite perceived 'errors'.

Irshad, my apologies for talking about u like you're not here! I'm addressing Giagantus and of course I'm making presumptions...

  • With that said I waould have wanted to know when and how it's racist to oppose honour killings ? You don't really mention it, despite the topic. I keep hearing people claim that because they oppose honour killings they are called racist but I have never witnessed (or read) it. So I am skeptical about the truthfulness. I cannot understand how opposing a crime makes u racist, makes no sense. What are the arguments, you should have invited a person that believed so.

  • Jokes aside, the comparasion between the slave owner and the man who refuses to shake hands is not only farfethched but also completely incorrect. The opposition to mixing between blacks and whites (women) had little (at best) or nothing to do with honour. And a (muslim) mans refusal to shake the hands of a woman has nothing to do with his honour. So the entire argumentation is hugely flawed. I am quite critical to this Irshad because you're not being honest here.
