How to make a Sabiki rod

This is a video on how to make your own Sabiki rod. These rods can run $60 and up. I made mine for under $10. These rods are great for catching bait if you don't have a casting net.

Thats a pretty cool DIY, I think a thinner diameter pvc pipe would do the trick.

Thanks for share... But i think sabiki rod it´s not necesary... here in Mexico i use a spinning rod 6' M for sabiki rig and 8' - 10' M, MH, H for fishing.

@dreekoofbud Try making the hole bigger. Make sure that the end of the pipe has a flared tip. I didn't need to use a lighter because the end was already flared.

@dreekoofbud I saw another tutorial that said they used a lighter and a pen to melt and smooth out the hole for that same reason. Maybe that'll give you some ideas.

hey i like the vid but i have a problem when i was practice dropping i notice my line got small cuts cause of the drilled hole can you help with that?
