The SO2 theme is missing like... all percussion, and the trumpet synth in the solo bit in the middle. That's why someone said it was 'lacking' earlier. First time I heard that on PSX though I was like 'shit, that's a theme'. The Sakuraba from Valkyrie Profile and SO2 is my favourite. The one in the later games just doesn't cut it.

Just to clarify, the way the SO2 theme here sounds had no bearing on my decision. I actually tried making this video multiple times and for whatever reason, the theme always became warped in the middle.

There is no such thing as "The Best RPG music"

The best RPG music is just an opinion of your favorite rpg - music, but this is a cool video because it makes people discover new RPG's which is pretty nice ^^

Emuticus everyone has their own opinion, so either respect that or GTFO.

Personally I prefer FFX to any other FF game, and just after that, FF1.

not gonna lie, I'm not even a fan of FFIV but not having Battle 2 in the top 100 is pretty silly.

many rpgs have more than one battle theme and some of the better ones are boss themes so why go through the trouble of lengthening the title of the videos to include: best rpg battle/boss/side quest/etc etc etc themes?

Just replace "Best" with "Favorite" and we can get over the political correctness issue.

umm I could be wrong but "The Landing" isn't the battle theme for FFVIII per say. Yes it is for that particular mission early on in the game but the actual battle theme for FFVIII is titled "Don't Be Afraid" I believe.

And just to make one more point. It looks more like your starting fights by putting your biased opinion as a fact. like the last 5 pages has a comment from you saying ff6 is the best, completely disregarding and killing anyone else's taste in music.

Just being honest it's kinda rude to tell everyone else they are wrong cus you like something more than other ppl do. It looks as if your trying to start something but I don't want to just wanted to point it out to you as food for thought.
