  • The area of Terlingua-Study Butte is without a doubt one of the most breathtaking places on earth. We have both fallen in love with the land and people. We feel totally safe here, safer than we do in the North East.

  • Welcome to Texas. I've seen the land for sale in Terlingua... in your opinion was it a good buy?

  • If remote and hard work are good for you, than it is a good deal, We thought so.

  • @Satchel334 Ah the voice of celebrity obsessed ignorance. Clueless retch, they just described how friendly and helpful the residents in Terlinguia are. That is avoidance of their fellow humans? Off grid refers to the ELECTRICAL and SEWER/MUNICIPAL WATER grid you dope. It has nothing to do with cloistered isolation or being entirely disconnected from society. It just means they are not connected to YOUR version of society.

At least they are accomplishing something they want for themselves.

  • I sure hope that y'all put up a wind turbine, 'cause I can barely hear a word you say for the wind. lol

  • I have a bunch of land around pecos and van horn. Iḿ hoping to get down there some day and built and adobe yurt.. round I think that with passive solar and the wind it could be a good bet. Good luck.

  • I like your vids but maybe invest in a wind buffer.

  • @OHPrepper7 LOL!

  • Cute and great couple.

  • Check my quotes for information about the Pre-January 8th dvds of Inception.

  • Well this will never work.... But give it a try... Personal growth is important.

  • You are toally safe there as most of us are armed to the hilt, and will never dial 911. Criminals will disappear out there real quick, without any tax dollars being wasted. Ever think about the thousand of dead indians over the centuries nobody ever finds them. Like a needle in fifty haystacks with no metal detectors allowed.

  • If you ain't got a water supply forget it! Try along some river basin where you can easily drill or dig a well. I'm using 640 watts of solar panels and a windy nation 750 wind generator. Rain what a joke Ive been in the desert all my life just outside of Tucson, in the last three years we're lucky if we recieved 3" of rain. I live on the largest water table in the state 25' down the wells here produce 1200 gpm if one can afford the electric to run those pumps. Rain barrels =dust collectors here.

  • @Satchel334

  • Native American lived off the desert for thousand of year so why cant it be done in to day time
