Sega Ages Phantasy Star Generation 2 - Nei's Animal Claw

The Animal Claw is the only new weapon available to Nei after Climatrol. As part of the requirements to resurrect Nei, you had to complete a small side-quest with Amy, followed by Rudo obtaining the Silver Bullet Necklace in Oputa. Later on, they trade the necklace with a musk cat in Skure for the Animal Claw.

I happened to have Rudo in the party at the same time as trading for the claw, but I don't think it's a requirement; you just get a piece of extra dialogue with him.

It's also one of the few new pieces of dialogue which is included after Nei is resurrected. She has pretty much no involvement with the storyline otherwise after Climatrol.

Nei has a habit of falling behind other characters a bit during the journey through the dams, however the new claw turns her in to a powerhouse again.

It wouldn't surprise me if it is, since it was given to Nei by a Musk Cat, but I don't think it's specifically stated.

I looked at your other videos with Nei being resurrected, and OMG shes a monster! I bet she'll be able to solo the entire game! You should post videos of her duking out with the bosses sometime.

On a side note, if a cutscene comes up and Rolf is dead in the party, who does the talking?

Certain events and conversation scenes can't be triggered if Rolf is dead... you can't even trigger the Neifirst battle without him.

If you don't have Rudoga in the party it won't let you start the conversation about the silver-bullet necklace, so him being in the party is required. I made the mistake of not having him while doing item creation, so I had to go all the way back to get him and then the conversation started.

Pretty sure the background in the original was always a blue grid with a dark backdrop. So yeah, new backgrounds in the remake.
