  • @Narania234 I didn't say that Mages are more evil than Templars. By far Templars are the most cruel and cold-hearted, but not all of them are evil, (most, but not all) just like not all Mages are good, some are very very very evil. I personally liked fighting Darkspawn (the whole "save the world from impending doom") and my main issue with DA2 was I wish they had put emphasis on Mages vs Templar as the entire main quest (not raising money in the beginning, then fighting off qunari, THEN that)

  • @gundamseedathrun I consider cold-hearted, calculated, cynical, sadistic, organised, disciplined purpousely evil(Loghain, Meredith, templars, chantry, tevinter magisters) as far worse than unorganised, impulsive, hot-headed ''evil''.

ONLY Fascists consider mentaly ill and temperamental beings to be ''insane'' and ''dangerous'' and ONLY fascists want to exterminate them.

I consider Lawful Evil to be far worse than Chaotic Evil. In Forgotten Realms Lawful Evil Bane is the most powerfull evil.

  • @gundamseedathrun ''Mages aren't completely innocent, however they do not deserve the treatment they get''.Yes, tevinter magisters are defintely evil but not that evil like the chantry's minions. DAO has excellent party members but lame enemy. Horde of minddless creatues led by insane dragon-like creature were supposed to be ''greatest evil''? Blatand lies. Loghain was puroposly evil, not insane.Templars, chantry and their cruel tyrannical Dark Lord Maker are the true greatest evil in Thedas.

  • @Narania234 Now that I agree with. I believe that DA2's plot was very much poorly done, and if you wish to feel exactly how I feel about the game (google zero punctuation's review for DA2) anyway, your points on how fantasy game/literature now seem to all have this race/religion/group (as the Templars of DA) that is very much totalitarianism. However, my main point I guess is that Mages aren't completely innocent, however they do not deserve the treatment they get.

  • @gundamseedathrun Our previous conversation in which I stated according to the truth that knight templars were similar to Nazis changed quite much. The second DA game, instead concentracing on mindless darkspawn from fascist jordanist writing, concentrated on biggest possible evil: authoritarianism\totalitarianism, persecuting people born with unique abilities, magic or otherwise, racial segregation, evil religion considering itself to be ''one true religion'', priest's pedophilia, fanaticism.

  • @gundamseedathrun I won't let right-wing fascists infect Fantasy video games with their vile totalitarianism and authoritarianism. I will be fighting against this nightmare. there are huge crowds of fascists in the real life, not quite I must carry them in the life then are still in video games and literature? J.R.R. Tolkien and R.E.Howard, founders of Fantasy literature hated the control on the fascist state. I agree with them. I hate this word- control -and everything what it is determining.

  • @Narania234 I think you have some serious issues in your life for you to be getting so frustrated with a game. I honestly think you have problems with what the 'Templars and Chantry' symbolize in real life because DA2 is just a game. Like I said, we can argue over who is worst but in all reality we aren't changing anything.

  • @gundamseedathrun No, Anders is shown HEALING children from poor and\or homeless families FREE OF CHARGE. He is more good than ANY cruel racistic reigious fanatic from totalitarian chantry. Anders just want just vengeance for chnatry atrocities. Understandable.

There is a HUGE difference, Elves can be mages but they cannot be templars. Elves and mages can only be safe when the chantry is gone. Like Gadaffi.

Of course i support Elves fighting for freedom, they deserve their own wooden realm.

  • @Narania234 Also, I find that people concentrate way to much on the troubles of the mages and such, when the elves are oppressed by ALL of humanity. Anyways our arguing over hows worst, Templars, Mages, or just Humans in general isn't going to change anything, it is only a game after all.

  • @Narania234 you're paining all templars with the same brush, although please know this, I am not defending the Templars actions, but I also think that mages are not "good" either. Furthermore, the way Anders goes along and executes his actions is not a great way to insure safety for mages, he is merely vengeful and hotheaded, although I still don't mind him as a character.
