For those of you that don't know anything about geography, there is no country with the name Ireland. it is two countries which are Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland, the song refers to the girl as the belle of Belfast city, which is in Northern Ireland which is in Britain. yous are supposedly so much better than each other but your are arguing about something you know nothing about! Your so proud to be Irish but ya needed the English to bail you out. I'M FROM NORTHERN IRELAND!

Im 3/4ths Irish (3 of my Grandparents were from Ireland, and one was German.) I got to go to Ireland 2 years ago and it was the best 9 days of my life. I want to go back so badly.
