Check third vessel, is great.
-
the song's called "Sentimental", it's on te "Fear of a Blank Planet" album :)
-
what was that song at the end? i recognise it but im not sure its on any of the PT albums i have
-
As a fellow bass player, I share the same sentiments too :)

John Wesley isn't a permanet member of PT. that is right. But he also helps out on the studio records and is an amazing live guitar player and fits in PT's music very well.
-
Oh is that so... Surprising I thought he joined the band full time.... Well still both bands are great :)
-
John Wesley only plays live, he doesnt help with writing nor plays in the studio, so i will not judge his ability with PT.
Solo wise, his music is very good. i checked out his myspace and was hooked.

You know John Wesley is also a PT member man... As for technique and all we won't judge because PT write more in a song writing context. I was and am still a huge Dream Theater fan and no doubt they are absolutely amazing and phenomenal musicians. Both Porcupine Tree and Dream Theater are very different from one another but extremely musical... I think writing a very melodic idea and presenting it well is a technique beyond all and PT have it. To me DT is extremely musical too! Both are awesome.
This is honestly the first time I see Colin talking O.o
