I am curious about the synth drum / possible looping? Is it similar to the sample drum sets on many keyboards? do you also use samples?

@thebenevolentsun I'm Jay, the percussionist. What I'm playing is called a Zendrum. It is a MIDI controller that can be used to control various sounds. Live I use a drum brain, like used for an electronic drum set. Each of the various pads are mapped to a specific sound. While I myself don't have a background in looping or samples and each "hit" is played individually, you could certainly use it to trigger either.

@greekmaria Yes. We're a kind of symphonic metal. The sound is more common and popular in Europe and the Netherlands than in the States, but it is starting to gain a foothold here. If you liked what you heard, you may want to check out bands like Nightwish, Within Temptation and Epica. They have a similar operatic quality to their lead vocals. Thanks for watching the video! :D
