Edward Elric and the Fullmetal Prince - ACen 2009 Finalist

"Half Blood, Full Metal..."

So, I haven't uploaded a video in a while, but this is what I've been working on for the past few weeks. I decided to make a parody trailer for the new Harry Potter movie (Half-Blood Prince) that's coming out in July, with Fullmetal Alchemist clips! This is my first attempt at making such a trailer, but there is a 2nd version of this that will be coming out later!

I'd say this first go at a trailer turned out okay, but while I was working on it, WB released a 2nd trailer that I felt had even more potential than this one. I am entering this first trailer at ACen in May 2009, and I will premiere the second one at Otakon in July!

Upon watching the trailers available for the Harry Potter movie at the time, labled "Trailer 1" and "Trailer 3a" by the studio, I found that neither one was completely to my liking. I decided to make a mashup "extended" trailer with what I considered to be the best parts from both the teaser and the trailer.

I added plenty of special effects with Adobe After Effects as well, and I tried to make the colour gamut more similar to that of the Harry Potter movies. In some ways, I actually think this is better than the real trailer for the movie! But I'll leave that for you to decide. :D

This was a finalist at Anime Central 2009! I hope everyone enjoyed watching it there!

Well, it's a play off the clip in the real trailer where Hermione (Herm-ow-ninny?) is in tears for whatever reason :D I decided it was dramatic enough to keep in all three trailers

Much appreciated! The trailers have been out for a while. You can watch them here on Youtube but I got them from Apple's website. They have HDTV versions for download!

Amazing. This one and the third one you did. 10x better than the actual HP trailer. And you fit the chars perfectly. Exactly how I imagined it! Except I don't have that kind of talent. Haha. Great job on these cross overs and keep up the good work! ;D

This one and the third are my favorites out of your crossover trailers for some reason...X3 I love the roles you have for everyone, too....although....*smacks Harry and huggles Ed and Ron and doesn't really do anything to Al because he's not her favorite character and she doesn't hate him so she glomps him because she feels bad for having him left out* X3
