Senator Dick Cohen had some questions about the content of a hastily-assembled GOP budget bill, but Senate finance chairs refused to extend the courtesy to yield for questions.
Refusing to answer questions were Senator Mike Parry, (R, Waseca,) chair of the State Government Innovation and Veterans Committee; Senator Bill Ingebrigtsen (R, Alexandria,) chair of the Environment and Natural Resources Committee, and Senator Warren Limmer, (R, Maple Grove,) chair of the Judiciary and Public Safety Committee.
I doubt voting republican is really in your own financial interest unless you're a major stockholder in a Fortune 500 company, a Wall Street high roller, or a oil company executive. My money has always gone further when democrats are in office, and we don't run the deficits we have today. Parry is one of the sleaziest people in the legislature. He knows it, doesn't care. He can't explain anything about the republican budget because he at least knows it's been deemed flawed and unrealistic.

Personally in my own financial interest I should be voting for the Republican, but there is just one problem. I have a conscience.

This is the most unbelievable thing I've ever seen! DFLers always yielded, answered the Republicans' questions (which were often harsh or made false assumptions), and now Repub's are stupid enough to a) not even know what's in their budget? Weren't they promising to fix our economy (jobs & deficit?) and b) not extend professional courtesy. Who are these people? Thank goodness Dick Cohen is MY Senator!

The Repubs look like yahoos. Refusal to speak on budget submitted??????????? The laws they've proposed on which they didn't campaign. Adding 20M to budget for voter id which isn't an issue. They're supposed to work together that's what voters want-not juvenile stunts like this!
