  • Laver didnt win 14 grand slam titles and none of the slams were on clay when he was playing. And honestly does anyone believe that if the two men actually played in their prime that Laver could defeat Federer. Athletes improve as time goes on. Anyone in the top 100 today could probably defeat Laver. Laver was great in his time but he wouldnt stand a chance today.

  • Roger is true class. true king. love Roger

  • Did Andy actually adjust his peepee at 1:18?

  • Does Agassi talk for the whole 3 sets in this match? Cause I really want this entire match to hear everything he says.

  • @Swissmaestro1 obviously, which is why I don't like using the term greatest of all time because tennis players in general are always getting better.

  • Stop talking nonsense - Laver is so short , no way he can have a chance in today's game ! He is a legend and was amazing in his years , but today's game is just very different !

  • @Swissmaestro1

Also, Laver played before the open era. Before 1968 they separated the amateur and pro league players. The four grand slam tournaments they count today were only in the amateur league. Laver won all four as an amateur in 1962, but became pro the following year. All championships he won as a pro are strangely not counted apart of his grand slam count. Laver won 11 grand slam tournaments and 8 pro league slam tournaments.. really his count should be 19 slam tournaments.

I disagree, it was a very different era of tennis where tennis was played in a very different fashion. Because of the technological improvements and generations of tennis players, the game play has now taken a different form. With Laver's dominance back in the day, I'd be confident to say if he still was in his prime today he could learn and keep up with today's tennis.

  • nice. andre mentions djokovic and look at him today..

  • anyone realise Roddick have such a late swing? he pulls back the moment before he hits the ball....how does he ever gonna get any power like rog and rafa?

  • @Swissmaestro1 I totally disagree. If Laver was in this era, and had access to the technology, fitness, and understanding that the players have today, he would most definitely dominate because talent, heart and mental toughness isn't something you learn- you have it or you don't. To say someone from the top 100 would win is ridiculous. The only difference between a top 100 player and a top 10 is mental toughness - period. Laver would have that...end of story.
