These commercials were from November 1971 on ABC (probably taken from a college football game or Wide World of Sports)
1. Dutch Masters Cigars with Jar (cheap gift!)
2. Homelite Chainsaws
3. Texaco Gasoline (the singing crew with the Texaco Star)
4. 1972 Chevrolet Vega (with the car showing off the safety features)
5. ABC Promo for the Dick Cavett Show
6. Prudential Insurance (that lady's going to give that arrogant fashion designer a piece of the rock right in the mouth!)
7. Prudential Insurance Investments
8. ABC Promo for the classic TV drama "Brian's Song"
**These commercials are from my 1970-78 Commercials Set**
The Texaco spot seems a last ditch attempt to promote the soon-to-be bogus idea of service @ a service station while appealing to those who remember the Milton Berle Show. I will say, though, even Texaco was still less than 30 cents a gallon.

@bill9e Yep, that's Roy Scheider, all right. Of course, at the time this commercial aired Mr. Scheider was appearing in theaters as Detective Cloudy Russo in "The French Connection".

Brian's Song was 1 of the finest TV movies ever..and that was a classic jingle for the Texaco ad, though there ain't no more Texacos here in SoCal now.

One of the Prudential commericals has none other than Alan Young, better known as Wilbur Post on Mr. Ed. Oh Wilbur!

Ah...the good old days, when newspaper publishing was considered a sound business in which to invest!

Sounds like Casey Kasem doing the ending Voiceover for the 1972 Chevrolet Vega ad.

The Dick Cavett promo voiceover was by Bill Rice; the "Brian's Song" promo was by Wally Parker.
