@lowflyin55 hot start doesn not mean a fire...hot start means that the turbine temperature has exceeded the limites during start

@callandor47 You are correct in that the Marines continue fly the N Model, however this isn't a N model huey...as a MEDEVAC it's designated a V model..still, the big difference is the N has two engines vs the H/V models.

This is not one of the last inservice UH-1's as the Marines did not get rid of their UH-1N two blades until March of 2011 and there are still reserve units and SnR units that still activly use them.

@crucialdudechris they check under the aircraft and in the engine compartments for any fuel or oil that is leaking beyond normal limits and check the mounts to make sure that they don't move to much and no air is leaking from the engine. They then make sure all the cowling are latched so they don't fly off in flight and pin back the doors.
