Found some more old unfinished songs I did before my hard-drive failed in 2006. These were all done in Logic 5 around 2004/2005 while I was in my second year of college studding electronics. Hardware was used for 99.9% of the synth sounds but I worked pretty much all in Logic; I would sample most of my hardware into the EXS-24 sampler...pretty much the bulk is from loads of EXS samplers loaded with my sounds.
Hardware used would be: Nord Micro Modular, Yamaha AN-200 and a Wavestation at the time. Software would be what ever came with Logic and Re-Birth, also had a small Spirit F1 mixing desk.
I did not have the internet at the time and every record label I sent this stuff to (in the mail!) didn't answer me so I never bothered finishing any of it and just worked on better tracks.
There is another vid (My life with synths) full of old tunes I did that I uploaded a while back. Quite different sounding to my shit now I think..And no I didn't have a clue what I was doing at the time lol But when I got the Nord everything just seemed to click into place and was able to start making the tunes I had in my head, the stuff before was more experimental and the shit from 2002 is just out there lol
Most of the really good shit is gone and wasn't even on a CD like this stuff.

  • some truly great stuff there - big up!

  • @enzymeblack Yo' Thank you very much mate! The only thing I still have out of all this is the synth patches for the Nord and AN on a CD-R I did which were stored on a different computer at the time, would be fun to own these again.

  • this sounds so good man i cant believe u didnt released anything yet

  • @SileDevil Thanks man! This stuff is more linear compared to my newer stuff but still cool, I sent it to a few labels at the time and never had a reply...one of them was Eric Morand at F-Com...so presumed he thought they were poo and just pressed on making better stuff lol In a way not a bad idea cos that was my motivation for getting better
