A graduate of the Moscow Conservatory, the soprano Tamara Milashkina sang in the Bolshoi Theatre from 1958 to 1989. The effect of her singing on the audience was sometimes purely magical. Apart from her remarkable vocal qualities and perfect mastery of her "instrument", which has always been astonishing for its flexibility and warm timbre, her individuality as a performer is marked by an emotional performance style, sincerity and spiritual "openness".
A profound understanding of her heroines' character and her particular romantic flare have enabled Milashkina to produce vivid personifications in the operas of Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Verdi, Puccini and Prokofiev. Her interpretation is fresh and artistically convincing and her singing manner, reserved and noble.

  • лучшая из лучших!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The Russian language with it's many consonant and vowel sounds lends itself richly to musical expression, there is a heart-melting quality to this music.

  • @melomanka1962 спасибо!

  • Лучшая Татьяна всех времён!

  • Not only is the voice wonderful, but the emotion it conveys is so very, very believable. This is a sublime artist portraying a girl in love beyond her comprehension. Exquisite....in a word! I had always thought that Mirella Freni's recording with James Levine was the definitive version. I stand humbly corrected.
