World Record 965 Model Rocket Launch - Austin, TX 5/12/07

Watch the simultaneous launch of 965 (of 1000) model rockets to set the Guinness Book World record. The launch took place on the morning of 5/12/07 at The Travis County Expo Center in Austin Texas. The record and event was the brainchild of Cub Scout Pack 990 and Boy Scout Troop 990. Watch for the rocket on the left that struck the stage 6 feet behind me. This launch shattered the previous record by literally hundreds of rockets. "Electric matches" were used in place of standard igniters to guarantee success. It was spectacular!
