Truck does a canopener getting stuck under a bridge where the clearance was much too low. He must've been going quite fast too. The crews are about half way done getting him out of this predicament by the time I start filming.

  • where is this bridge?

  • @MrJrryhy460 If he had made it under this bridge he would make a 'T' at route 12. (part of old route 1)

A right would've taken him up fort hill and on toward Mystic, Connecticut, or further toward Montreal via I-95.

A left would've taken him toward Gales Ferry, then Norwich, and up toward Worcester, Franklin or Marlboro Mass unless he picked up I-95 going the other way toward Florida.

I'm scratching my head trying to figure out where he was actually trying to get.

  • @muffinbottoms i live in mystic! :D:D:D:D:D

  • @AkimboDice You probably know this bridge well then. Those traintracks go behind the Big Y and Rons Guitars, etc.

  • I had to prep and haul a couple of these can opener trailer wrecks from Milwaukee back to minneapolis after other drivers had done the damage. The wind and scale inspection crews give you alot of problems. But the worst is all the snide comments for your fellow truckers and CBers all the way home!LOL

  • I have drove Rig's and worked in a truck bodyshop The major part of the drivers are Noobs taking long haul Fresh out of Truck school and new to the country. In Canada are goverment pays new comers to go to truck school The some of the truck schools are owned by the same country of people They teach them the basic lessons But the skill to drive a truck or the unwritten rules of the road like if it looks too short stop and turn around Most trucks rise up a few inchs after dropping a load and BAM!

  • I doubt anyone here would have close to the skill needed to drive such a huge vehicule on the roads. I always had GREAT RESPECT for truck drivers. No way i would be able to drive something like that in any city.

  • one more time signs are not good, should say: no tractor trailer

  • @LadyBigTruck Well said! Thank you!

  • he didnt try hard enough

  • 0.23 Nice Car :D

  • Funniest thing I saw was a car transporter with a full load of new BMWs that tried to get under a low bridge at speed. BMWs were scattered over the nearby fields and the driver was nowhere to be seen. Probably in an airport ticket queue if he had any sense.
