Ha! So glad to see this. I recorded it on reel-to-reel when I was a kid watching the show, and I learned Larry's version from that tape, which I still have. It's what first turned me on to Jerry Reed, and Larry plays this so great. Onliest problem is now everyone will know where I ripped off the ending from! :)
I knew he was a great banjo player, and he did a great job on harmonica working with Roy Acuff. But this is enough to make me give up completely on learning the guitar. Tremendous--and the two guys he's with aren't too bad, either!
I lived in the US in the early seventies and used to watch the Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour. The bit that I always hung out for was the jam session segment with Glen and Jerry on acoustic guitar and Larry on banjo. These jams were unbelievably good, with each musician demonstrating high levels of musicianship. Larry in particular was jaw droppingly good on banjo and it is interesting to hear him play guitar. Thanks for the post.
Great clip! Thank you!

This completely changed my mind on how guitar was supposed to be played. I heard this as a kid and was blown away ,and still am.
