Rezone some land in remote W.A. and allocate it as an external territory of Australia, creating a self supportive nation for the processing and settlement of these people, easing dependence off the Australian Government and Australian Tax Payers, preserving the Australian way of life without Multiculturalism . It's irrelevant where people come from, or what spiritual doctrine they follow. While politicians devise deterrent strategies, the people who do make it to Christmas Island alive need to be cared for properly. Vandalism of detention facilities were a serious insult to all Australians who had requested the government to spend more funds to provide quality facilities.

Amazing these people get angry at Australia because they believed the BS story told to them by people smugglers. Told they will simply land here, perhaps spend a little time in detention and then wham given some cash and doors open to just walk on in. And the hippy tools who would have our doors opened wide for any unknown to come here. Our Government has priority to the safety of Australians first.
